Greg Haygood serves as Chief Financial Officer at DC Green Bank, where he leads the organization’s accounting, finance, treasury, compliance, and risk management functions. He works to ensure that DC Green Bank’s financial resources are deployed responsibly and strategically to advance the organization’s mission of accelerating clean energy investment, expanding economic opportunity, and building a more resilient and sustainable District of Columbia.
With more than 20 years of experience in finance, accounting, and operational leadership, Greg has built a career helping organizations strengthen financial performance, improve operational effectiveness, and navigate complex regulatory environments. Prior to joining DC Green Bank, he served as Chief Financial Officer for the NoMa Business Improvement District, where he oversaw the financial operations of a community development organization focused on one of Washington, DC’s fastest-growing neighborhoods. Before that, he spent more than a decade at Motley Fool Asset Management, where he held senior finance leadership roles supporting the firm’s growth and investment operations.
Greg holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from American University and a Master of Science in Accounting and Finance from the University of Maryland. Outside of work, Greg enjoys coaching youth baseball and supporting his son’s athletic development. He takes pride in helping young athletes build confidence, discipline, and teamwork both on and off the field.
