Vanessa leads DC Green Bank’s financial systems, controls, and reporting to support our investments in climate resilience and affordability across Washington, DC. She oversees budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance for complex funding sources, helping ensure resources are used efficiently, operations run effectively, and the organization’s financial infrastructure remains strong in support of its mission. Through transparent and accountable stewardship of public capital, she helps turn our priorities into lasting financial outcomes for District residents.
She brings deep expertise in financial operations, internal controls, and reporting. Her background includes experience in government accounting, where she has managed public-sector requirements, compliance standards, and audit processes, as well as supporting federal grant-funded programs.
Vanessa holds a B.A. in Business Management with a concentration in Accounting from Menlo College and has completed the Grants Management Certificate Program for Recipients. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, on the soccer field, and exploring Washington, DC’s rich history and diverse food scene, deepening her connection to the city’s culture and the communities we serve.
